Chapters 14 through 17 Summary

In Chapter Fourteen, Raoul's lab assistant calls Alex with the news that Raoul is in jail in La Vista. Alex calls on Milo for help, learns that Milo hadn't made a trip to La Vista as planned because of a break in an on-going rape case, and talks to Milo's partner, Delano Hardy, instead. Del agrees to make some phone calls and tells Alex later with the story of what happened. He says that Raoul had gone to La Vista, had found the retreat manned by The Touch, and had rammed the gates in an attempt to break in because he's certain Woody is being held there. Del says Raoul will be released if someone will pick him up. Alex agrees and sets out on the drive.
