Chapters 23-26 Summary

In Chapter 23, Dimitri comes to Rose after a kill. Rose finds herself disgusted by the idea. Dimitri and Rose talk. When Dimitri handles the ring Mark gave Rose, it seems that he is almost like his old self, but Rose thinks this is because they are talking about his family. Later, Rose distracts Dimitri by asking questions about being a Strigoi. After Dimitri leaves, Rose goes into Lissa's mind and finds her in the counselor's office where she is being reprimanded for drinking on campus and throwing a party first in the library and later in the pool area. Lissa tries to speak to Christian, but again he walks away from her. When Avery arrives, Rose finds herself pushed out of Lissa's head again.
