Summary

In Chapter 23, when Parnell woke, Sherri Kane waiting for her with Rhodes’ hobo beads. She told Parnell that Elise had mentioned that she was “dealing with a gang of skinheads” (311). Parnell showed Sherri the sketch of Whip and Sherri said she had made some beads for him. She said she thought he had wanted the beads sent to an address in Wiggins.

Parnell did some computer research and learned that the Nazi Party had been formed in February of 1920. In February of 1933, the Nazi Party had been granted emergency power in Germany. Parnell wondered for the first time if Jazmine’s disappearance, on February 21, was more significant.
