Chapter 16-20 Summary

In chapter sixteen, Richard writes a letter for Gratch to take to Kahlan and Zedd. Richard gives Gratch instructions on how to find them and says that Gratch will know that it is Kahlan because she will know his name. Once Gratch is gone, Richard feels much more alone since Gratch followed him out of friendship and the others were bonded to him. Richard explains that the Imperial Order uses magic in order to destroy magic and that is the reason that they have wizards.
