Summary

In “Famous,” Norma Jeane turned down a role in the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes because of her pregnancy. She did not trust her new agent or anyone who knew her before she had become famous. At a party after the premiere of Niagara, Norma Jeane confronted Mr. Z about raping her. He had pretended he did not know what she was talking about. She wanted to press him, but did not, because she knew that was something her mother would do.

Norma Jean’s agent, who she secretly called Rin Tin Tin, told her Mr. Z had purchased the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes especially for her. When she learned she would make $18,000 while Jane Russell, the other female star, would make $100,000, Norma Jeane told her agent she was insulted.
