Summary

In “The Shark,” Norma Jeane describes seeing a shark strung up on a pier. She notes she was 15 and engaged. She would be married at 16 instead of going back to high school. Her fiancé was warned that Norma Jeane’s mother was in an institution and that Norma Jeane might be mentally ill as well. Her fiancé argued he was marrying Norma Jeane, not her mother.
