Chapter 11 Summary

Jerome talks to Claudia about how long she plans on keeping her past a secret. Claudia alludes to the fact that Roger swindled and cheated people. Jerome admits that he's been corresponding with his father. Claudia asks Jerome if Roger plans on going through with the newspaper article.

Later, Claudia is getting ready for her first date—her first date since Roger and her first date with Anthony Brewer.

Jerome feels as if he can share his grief with Valerie. He doesn't feel he can share this with his mother because his mother cares too much. Jerome feels Claudia would simply want him to deal with and get over his grief, while Valerie allows him to experience it.

Julia discusses getting the garden ready with Peter. After Julia goes into the garden, Peter calls for Victoria to help them in the garden...
