Chapter 7 Summary

Victoria is working her horse over hurdles. Victoria is sure that Lila isn't going to come to help her practice, when Lila shows up. Lila tells Victoria her brother broke his leg in a bus crash so she had some phone calls to make before coming. Lila and Victoria trade places so Lila can see what the horse, Vinnie, can do. Anthony Brewer shows up and seems taken with Lila.

Claudia and Minna have a discussion on how Jerome is going to get stateside. When Lila arrives home, she asks Claudia if there is any more news on Jerome. Lila confronts her mother about not talking to Roger about Jerome and then bursts into tears.
