Black Forest

The black forest represents what the devil controls after the Great Deception. This could also be considered as a symbol for hell as Teeleh is trapped there until Tanis drinks the water. It is plagued by death and deception, filled with horrible bugs and black bats that attack any good person on sight. It is a direct antithesis to Elyon’s light and love, as Teeleh only cares about his own power and longs to take over both the colored forest and Elyon himself.

Colored Forest

The colored forest represents God’s domain after the end of the world, known in this novel as the Great Deception.
