Chapters 6-8 Summary
Chapter 6:
The Harpers and their adopted family celebrate Christmas. The boys tease Roz endlessly. Roz is happy to have a house filled with noise and chaos, a far cry from days gone by. At the end of the day, the boys present Roz with an antique mirror like the one they broke as kids. Roz is overwhelmed.
Roz and Hayley talk about Christmas. Hayley speaks about her father's death and is surprised that she could be happy only a year later. Roz talks about having her sons at home.
Roz goes into the library and speaks to Mitch. They discuss family history for a while. Roz says she will be home on New Year's Eve. Mitch plans to work and begin his interview with Roz.
