Summary
In Chapter 3: “I’m the Voice, You’re the Face,” Ron made a few critical mistakes when starting the KK investigation—not having a plan, using his real name, and giving out an undercover phone number and address without anticipating a response. Ron had been a police officer for four years, doing undercover work for three year. Fortunately, the people he was investigating were not “the brightest bulbs in the socket” (31) and these mistakes did not hurt the investigation.
After getting off the phone with Ken, Ron went to discuss the operation with his supervisor sergeant Ken Trapp (generally, “Ken” refers to Ken O’Dell and Ken Trapp is referred to as “Trapp”).
