Part 2: Chapter 13-14; Part 3: Chapter 15 Summary
In chapter thirteen, Jack tells Dale that Henry should listen to the 911 tape since Henry is used to relying on his hearing. While the crime scene is being investigated, Wendell Green is caught snooping around the back entrance. Wendell is confident that Beezer won't be able to beat him up in front of all the witnesses and county cops that have shown up. Beezer takes Wendell's camera and empties out the film thinking that what Wendell has on it was pictures of little Irma's body.
The county cops inform Dale Gilbertson that he hasn't handled the investigation the best way and relieve of the case. Beezer tells Jack to be sure and call on them if they need any more help and Jack and Henry drive away.
