Summary

In Chapter 39, Willow apologizes to Victoria and Victoria allows her to come home. Russell, Victoria’s client who has a crush on her, shows up and asks Victoria out, but when the women go to look for Nickie, who had told Russell to come over, they find out she is missing. Russell leaves. Augusta admits that she might have been the reason Nickie ran away in Chapter 40 after she shows the other women in her family a letter she typed for Nickie about family history. Augusta printed the letter and hid it in the pillowcase where Nickie had been hiding her birth control. The letter reveals several lies Augusta told to protect her family, including omitting the fact that she used love medicine to steal Dudley Lee from his fiancee and then they stole Bela Nova’s book.
