Summary
Nickie helps Willow by reading the ingredients and instructions for a sweetening talc she wants to use as love medicine in Chapter 34. Madelyn, her grandmother, drives her around town collecting the ingredients, and all but one is missing: sulfur. Nickie asks Madelyn if she believes in the curse and Madelyn reveals that she does not because she has never loved a man, only women. Madelyn and Nickie meet late at night in the kitchen, Nickie to work on the potion and Madelyn to get a late-night snack. Madelyn reveals she was the one who added many of the recipes in the spell book, and that she had hidden other recipes in the shop in New Orleans.
