Summary

Lin is being interrogated by the police after Covey fled the wedding. They call off the search for her given the impending storm. Bunny refuses to believe Covey is dead, thinking instead that she is hiding by the cave.

Covey washes ashore in a panic, knowing that the police will suspect she killed Little Man. She does not feel sorry that her father thinks she is dead because the wedding was his fault. Bunny finds Covey at the cave and has brought the contact information for a person Pearl claims will help Covey get to safety.

Covey makes her way to England as a nanny under an assumed name. She cannot contact anybody from her previous life and must resist the temptation to look for Gibbs. She begins meeting other girls from the Caribbean and tries to make connections. She cannot tell anybody...
