Summary
Zora frequently dreams about her Goat Bridge painting. She puts a plastic bag of the black butterflies she collected from the wreckage in her cabinet. It is hard to believe that both the current Sarajevo and England exist at the same time. She finds a man who has phone access and pays him a large sum of money to call her loved ones in England. They tell her they are working to get her out and mention convoys and lorries. Her daughter tries to give her a pigeon recipe that involves garlic and bay leaves not knowing that these are extraordinarily expensive. On the way home, Zora purchases garlic by exchanging a Hermes scarf Franjo gave her for their anniversary. She makes the meal and shares it with Anto, Milka, and Una. They tell Zora that there is a Red Cross convoy leaving...
