Bubbles

The bubbles that Fort must use to catch joy is a representation of the fragility of that emotion. Joy is something just as easy to find as it is to lose. The bubbles ensure that it can be gathered, but it must be cared for and cherished or that joy will scatter as the bubble breaks. Also, bubbles are whimsical enough to make anyone smile which aligns with Mr. G's belief that everyone would benefit from joy.

Space

Space and the cosmos represent how everyone is fundamentally connected. The Between exists between planets and stars, allowing Fort to travel between worlds.
