Summary
Part Three opens with another small section from the storyteller who describes how Almas uses his knowledge of the area to guide them over the next two weeks. The three pray together every day, but Pesah gets sicker and more white ravens arrive with treats for him. With three days before Rosh Hashanah, Ziva realizes Pesah is dying.
They arrive at a small village in Chapter 27 while Ziva struggles to keep herself together as Pesah deteriorates. As they continue, Almas asks her to keep a watch out for an almond tree growing next to a cave. Ziva says they only have three days, but does not tell him about Pesah’s vision.
