Summary
In Chapter Eight, Ziva is upset to see that her mother has picked out a loud Byzantine dress while Setareh has banned Ziva from wearing her more comfortable kaftan. She notes a pale patch of skin on her wrist as she gets dressed, but is immediately distracted by how much she hates the dress. Baba arrives and gives her a journal to celebrate her bar mitzvah and the two visit Pesah together. There, Ziva is annoyed to see that her mother gave Pesah a second Greek cooking book, even though he has no interest in the subject, which Ziva sees as another example that their mother does not know anything about them. Eventually, Baba leaves and Ziva takes a reluctant Pesah to the party.
