Summary
In Chapter 34, May awakens in Galway's cottage and when he wakes, they go to the Dining Hall where Galway fixes them breakfast. Afterwards, they head to the attic to dig into the archives again. They discover that Banning Winslow (Birch's grandfather), had deposited two hundred thirty five thousand dollars into his account in May of 1933. Huge deposits were made in the following months until there are millions in the account. They can't determine where the money came from; all they know is that Bard (Birch's father) married Kitty in September of 1932. May and Galway are soon interrupted by the sound of Birch's voice coming from downstairs. Galway goes to speak to him but May can't hear what they're saying.
In Chapter 35, Galway has to return to Boston for work and promises that soon he will tell the family about his relationship with May...
