Summary

At the start of Part 3, Jill Darvish prepared for her day, irritated that Owen did not text her when he arrived in Thorndike. Shortly after, Lemoine called her, asking for Owen. He apologized for a communication mistake: He had sent an email to Owen confirming that they would meet that weekend, but it got stuck in his drafts. He also indicated that Owen had not yet arrived. He convinced Jill to open “Find My Device” and provide him with Owen’s locations for the night.

After they disconnected, Jill checked Owen’s email and saw an email from Lemoine apologizing to Owen.
