Summary

In Chapter 14, Alice asks Billy if he raped her and seems to accept that he did not. She does not fight him when he takes the knife from her. He offers to fix coffee and she asks for Aspirin as well. She cries and tells Billy she is not a whore, that she was a virgin until last night. When Billy asks, Alice tries to tell him what she does remember, but begins hyperventilating. She tells Billy she does not have asthma, she is having a panic attack.
