Summary
In Chapter 4, in Big Swiss’s next recorded session, she told Om about her attack. When she was 20, she worked “as a cocktail waitress in Brooklyn” while attending the New School (67). Keith “was a regular at this bar” (67). Throughout their conversations, Big Swiss learned “he’d been in prison for many years” (68). As a free man, he was “a well-known furniture designer” (68). Then one night he asked Big Swiss out for dinner. She agreed, because she had accepted similar offers before and they had been innocuous.
Over dinner, Keith told Big Swiss “He’d been locked up” for stalking his ex-wife’s new lover, Linda (71). Because of what he had said “about a hung jury” and “planted evidence,” Big Swiss was not afraid (72). She “became uncomfortable” after noticing the waitstaff’s response to him.
