Importance: Daphne describes how she forces herself to keep smiling as she describes the night she was tricked into thinking that a man she met at a bar was sincerely interested in her. Daphne had learned later this man was disgusted by her and had only approached her because Drue had asked him to do so. Daphne retaliated by stomping on the man’s foot and telling him that she might be fat, but she deserved respect.
