Summary

Chapter 34

Madeline tells Ed what happened to Jane. She ends up getting in a fight with him because she feels like he’s victim shaming Jane. She goes downstairs and realizes that Ed wasn’t doing anything like that. She’s still upset over Abigail leaving and feels like she’s starting to blame Ed. For a moment she thinks that Ed and the rest of the family invaded the family life that Abigail and Madeline used to have, which could be why she left. Even though she promised Jane she wouldn’t, she decides to look up Saxon Banks. This once again fills her with anger. She finds out that he is married with three other kids. She feels guilty because now she knows something about Jane’s family that Jane didn’t. She worries that she’s being too judgmental and...
