Osh's Island

Osh and Crow live on a small piece of land connected to Cuttyhunk Island by a thin strip of sandbar. When the tide is in, they are cutoff from the main island and exist as their own small piece of rock in the ocean. The island is large enough however to contain a cottage which Osh has cobbled together out of ship parts his has salvaged from the sea. He has used old beams, a stove pipe, decking for the roof, a porthole for a window, and a crow's nest turned upside down serves as their table.

Outside, they have the beach to themselves. They get around on a small skiff and tend to lobster pots they have set around the bay. Although isolated, the sandbar does allow them to connect to other people, particularly Miss Maggie. Even at high tide, Crow is able to wade through...
