Summary
In the first chapter of Part 2, Irene addresses the reader directly and begins by imploring them not to start using opioids in the first place, but, if the reader must try for themselves, there is a litany of dos and don'ts to consider. Most importantly, Irene stresses is that any user carry the anti-overdose medication Narcan with them and know how to use it. Part 2 Chapter 2 returns to morning after Irene tries heroin for the first time with Luce.
