Summary
Beverly dreams of Buddy again and wakes up to the smell of coffee and Iola chatting with a man named Tommy, Iola’s oldest son, in the kitchen. Tommy demands to know who Beverly is and questions Iola’s decision-making skills for letting a stranger move in. Tommy tells Iola that Beverly has to be out in a week otherwise he will take her car. Iola cries after Tommy leaves but she pulls herself together and her and Beverly head to Muskie Market to shop for Christmas dinner.
Beverly and Iola bring their groceries to Mr. C’s and Beverly goes into Mr. Denby’s office. Beverly hears Iola scream in the kitchen and then a masked man appears in the doorway to Mr. Denby’s office. Beverly recognizes the man attempting to rob the restaurant as Jerome. He asks for them to...
