Point of View

This story is told from the first person point of view of two different characters. Both Reid and Emma serve as narrators for the novel. Reid narrates the first half of each chapter while Emma narrates the second half. The use of the differing points of view gives both Emma and Reid’s sides of the story.

The novel combines exposition as the narrators describe what is happening around them, and dialogue as the characters interact with one another. In this way, Reid can tell his story about his experience with the film from his experienced standpoint while Emma tells her story about her filming experience from her viewpoint of a new actress on the set of a major movie.
