Summary

Chapter 4

Although the role still hasn’t been awarded, Reid knows that Emma is the right choice in Chapter 4. Richter agrees and suggests that they call Emma back for a second audition. Emma is vague when her parents ask about the audition. Back at the hotel though she calls her best friend Emily and gives her all the details. Emma shares her concerns of not being taken as a serious actress if she does this movie, Emily sympathizes with her worries, telling her she will soon be in control of her own career.

In Chapter 5, Reid gets a text from his mother reminding him about their dinner plans. He goes shopping first, then returns home to find his mother alone. She is drinking and tells Reid that his father got held up with a case. He half-heartedly tries to get his mother...
