Summary
A second person narrator begins this story by telling readers about the old Cool Water Well. It is sealed and is now used as a traffic roundabout. People of all castes live side by side in this area, even though the Muslim rich keep to the area near the Bunder. The Canara Club is located here and is the most exclusive club in town. This neighborhood is the most intellectual part of town, consisting of a Lions Club, a Rotary club and several other similar institutions. There are also multiple medical institutions and the two best known are the Havelock Henry District Hospital and Dr. Shambhu Shetty's Happy Smile Orthodontic Clinic.
