The Importance of Communication
A lack of communication between individuals can create distance from friends and family and lead to misunderstandings. In this novel, Liz Buxbaum is struggling through the events of her senior year while trying to navigate new relationships, all without effectively communicating with her friends and family.
Liz was in fifth grade when her mother died. That event was a defining point in her life, but seven years have passed. Now, Liz is facing renewed levels of grief.
