Summary

In Chapter 7, Liz's dad pushes her to fill out the paperwork for her dorm at college. Liz has been avoiding this chore, struggling with the knowledge that once she goes away to college, she will no longer be able to go for a short run to visit her mom's grave. Mr. Buxbaum calls her “Little Liz,” which prompts her to ask if she was “a nice little weirdo” as a kid. Mr. Buxbaum is surprised that Liz does not remember her childhood that way, and says she was “a strange little kid.” He tells a story, and Liz admits she had maybe been a little weird. Michael shows up at the bookstore. He hesitates, then admits that he is looking for a specific romance series he began reading on a dare. Liz loves the series as well. He says he likes the series...
