Chapters 3 and 4 Summary

In Chapter 3, Zoey and Stevie Rae are walking to first hour while Zoey tells Stevie Rae about the conversation she overheard with Aphrodite and her parents. Stevie Rae tells Zoey not to let her guard down and to watch out for Aphrodite. As Neferet enters the room to teach the class, Zoey has an overwhelming feeling to become Neferet. Zoey asks Neferet to excuse her from class to go to the media center and come up with new ideas for changes to the Dark Daughters. On the way to the media center, Nala, Zoey's cat jumps into her arms. At the House of Night, cats roam free and cats choose their owners rather than the other way around.
