Chapter 19 Summary

Roarke waits for Eve outside and says he wants Summerset out of the country. Eve says that he is a material witness and will stay in the city where the police will protect him. As they talk, Summerset leaves the building flanked by two plainclothesmen. Roarke goes to Summerset and Eve leaves with Peabody to interview Mince, Magda's financial advisor.

Mince and Magda have been together for many years and are like family. Eve gets right to the point with questions about Vince and finds that Magda thinks Vince has changed since he has taken an interest in the auction.
