Chapter 17 Summary
Eve arrives home first and downloads the files from Stowe. She doesn't find much useful information in the files but finds that Stowe was taking the same approach as Feeney had.
When Roarke arrives home, she tells him about Peabody. She also tells him about the information Feeney presented on Stowe. Roarke won't admit that he was the source, so she tells him about the meeting with Stowe and the list of three names she has and asks if he could obtain information on them without being obvious.
It turns out that Roarke knows the three men, and that there were no negotiations for a communications station or he would have known about it. The communications station was a cover for something else. It is possible that Winifred heard or saw something and that's what she was killed for. Since some of the...
