Chapters 4-5 Summary
Roarke and Mick Connelly, an old friend, meet in Roarke's office at the hotel. They haven't seen each other for almost fifteen years. Mick tells Roarke how he got out of Liverpool by switching identities with a dead man. He is in town on business and decided to look up Roarke, who invites Mick to stay at his home.
Eve learns that Yost earns approximately two million dollars for a hit. That is his starting price, and at a brainstorming session with Peabody, Feeney and McNab, the group concludes that Darlene was a random target and that Roarke is the target.
Eve focuses on the bag that Yost carried and identifies its manufacturers and model numbers. She asks for a list of locations where it was sold and who the purchasers were. She also suspects that Yost was wearing a wig...
