Chapters 2-3 Summary

Eve learns the suite was booked three weeks in advance, registered to James Priory of Milwaukee. Eve watches the security discs of Priory checking into the hotel and being shown into the suite. She also watches Darlene French enter the suite. At 8:58, Priory leaves the suite with his suitcase, approximately one half hour after Darlene had entered.

Eve learns from her assistant that the real James Priory had been killed in a car accident several months earlier. She tells Peabody to run the picture through IRCCA to see is they can identify the man. She then goes to interview Hilo, the maid who found the body. Hilo had gone looking for Darlene when she didn't answer her page. She describes how she found the body and she tells Eve that Darlene wouldn't have played opera music. Darlene was dating a bellhop...
