Summary
In Chapter 11, Jam reads a letter from her mother. The letter tells her that her brother, Leo, has begun getting in trouble and smarting off to his parents. Jam’s mother wants Jam to talk to him about his attitude. Jam intends to write to her brother but is so caught up in thinking about how many trips she has to Belzhar before the journal ends that she forgets. She’s figured that the journal will last only through the end of the semester. Jane Ann had also made Jam join the school’s a cappella group the Barntones. Jam doesn’t feel like she belongs there.
