Plymouth Plantation
Plymouth is a community of Puritans. William Bradford, the governor, received a charter from the King of England and was given permission to start a colony. Although he expected the land in Plymouth to be fertile, it was not the best land for farming. All of the elders are Puritans, and they have all the power in Plymouth. Back home, they had no power and were persecuted by the English for their faith. In Plymouth, they use their newfound power to oppress the servants they brought with them and the Native Americans.
