Bess's Home

Bess becomes a recluse in her home by 2018. She lives alone and works from home, allowing her to spend most of her time away from other people. She does this because she knows she was bringing her family down by living with them, and she does not want her life exposed to public scrutiny. It is here that Joni comes to find her when she is in need of help. Eventually when news breaks about Willa, reporters come to this home to find Bess.

Calabasas

Bess and her family move to Calabasas from England so her mom can work as a professor. This is notable because Bess’s mom is very aware that if they had never moved to Calabasas, Bess’s life would have likely turned out much better because she would have never met Evenageline and Joni.
