Summary

In 1, "Me and Muscled Man," Ofunne sits for her exam. Tall girls are not there. When Ofunne asks "the course rep where they are," he ignores her (191).

Professor Okafor enters with muscled men. The muscled men carry guns. They are angry, and make the students stand. One of the men searches Ofunne, touching her breasts. He asks if she has brought "prohibited reading materials into the exam hall" (191). Ofunne says she has not. The man tells her she can. He can also be her protector if she gives him her number, and sleeps with him.

Outraged, Ofunne calls him "idiot," "useless," and "stupid" (191, 192). The man tells the professor she has smuggled materials into the hall. She accuses him of lying. Professor Okafor makes her complete an "examination malpractice form" for dishonoring the man (192). Ofunne wonders if they would have done this to tall...
