Alice's House
Alice's house is located in an unnamed town in the County Galway region. After spending several weeks in the hospital because of a psychiatric breakdown, Alice decides to leave Dublin for a time. Through a friend, she finds the old rectory by the sea, where she moves. She lives in the house for free, while the owners try to find someone to purchase the property.
Throughout her time in the house, Alice meets and develops a relationship with Felix. She also returns to her work in the writing and publishing world. Eventually, Simon and Eileen visit her here, and the four friends spend several days together. Sharing the same space complicates their relationship dynamics, and challenges them to reexamine what they want and need from one another.
