Dee Moray/Debra Moore Bender

Dee Moray is a young actress whose first Hollywood job is to work on the film Cleopatra in Rome. Dee plays Cleopatra’s lady in waiting. However, Dee becomes ill and is told she has stomach cancer. Dee goes to Porto Vergogna to await the arrival of her lover, Richard Burton, before traveling to Switzerland to receive treatment. In Porto Vergogna, Dee meets Pasquale. Pasquale falls in love with her and takes it upon himself to locate Dee’s lover when he does not come to her as planned. Pasquale believes Michael Deane is Dee’s lover, so he confronts him and punches him in the chest. However, Pasquale soon discovers that Richard Burton is Dee’s lover and that Burton did not know of Dee’s pregnancy.
