Gatlin, Georgia

The novel is set in the small town of Gatlin, Georgia in modern times. Gatlin is such a small town that everyone knows everyone else. This causes it to be impossible for the teenagers in this town to do anything without their loved ones finding out immediately. Ethan used to dream about leaving Gatlin, but since meeting Lena he is fairly content to stay.
