Summary
In Chapter 23, Nic continued to use meth, and he occasionally phoned David; in the calls, he lied that he was sober. One day, he broke into David’s house to steal some belongings and money. One day, David grieved when he realized that his loving relationship with Nic had become essentially nonexistent.
