Smoky Mountains

The Smoky Mountains are a range of mountains that stretch across Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina. Ashley and her friends live in Tennessee, and they go into the mountains to celebrate the summer before their senior year. Ashley loves the mountains and hopes to one day walk the whole Appalachian Trail by herself. When she runs off in the middle of the night, Ashley never imagines that she could actually get lost. Even the next morning, when she realizes she is alone and lost, she refuses to stay still and wait for rescue because she thinks she can handle the mountains herself. Fortunately, she is able to conquer the woods, but she comes very close to not making it out alive.
