Summary

In Chapter 27, the narrator explains that Jonathan Jarman Jr. had a cancer scare right before he and Annabelle divorced.

In Chapter 28, Jonathan was visited by Dill, Janey, and Cleveland. Dill told him they needed his help, and Jonathan replied that if Annabelle wanted him to do something, she should come and ask herself.

In Chapter 29, Jonathan reflected on his present life with his girlfriend, Joy, and her two daughters, and how Annabelle always brings trouble.

In Chapter 30, Annabelle visited Jonathan. She told him that she needed help moving a large group of hens. He said that if he helped her, she had to promise to retire from activism. She agreed.

Chapter 31 continues the conversation between Annabelle and the interviewers. She explains that she, Dill, and Jonathan used to run an investigative ring of activists. They would train them to go undercover at farms...
