Chapter 36

Emma and Evan make up on the phone at 2:00 a.m. They agree to talk more the following day. Emma reveals this to Sara the next morning. Sara also drops a bombshell: She will be going to Parsons in New York. Emma knows this is because it is closer to her family, and to Jared. Emma realizes she is going to lose not just her best friend, but really her sister.

Though Evan is still a little off, the conversation with him goes well, as Emma explains to Sara. Emma reveals she will be asking Casey to stay with her until Evan gets back. Sara finds is sweet and amusing that Emma and Evan have a planned sex date. Emma has a nightmare that night, but rather than wanting another awkward conversation with Evan, she watches TV instead.
