Summary

Chapter 28

Jonathon arrives to help Emma handle Rachel. He is in a suit, and Emma believes she has ruined his plans. They clean up Rachel and Jonathon stays with her while Emma gets cleaned up. She begins crying in the shower. Jonathon asks her if she is okay; she says she is. After the shower, Jonathon asks her what happened. Emma explains that for weeks, things have been great, until that night. She apologizes for ruining Jonathon’s night, and Jonathon says he meant it when he told her to call him anytime. Jonathon tells her she needs to talk to Rachel, that Rachel can’t keep doing this to Emma. Jonathon stays up in Rachel’s room while Emma sleeps.

Jonathon wakes up Emma when he leaves a little after seven, so Rachel doesn’t know he was there. Emma sleeps...
